Abstract
The Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture plays a major supporting role in the evolution and development of U.S. agriculture in export markets. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the Foreign Apiculture Service (FAS) market development programs including the Foreign Market Development (Cooperator) and the Targeted Export Assistance (TEA) Programs. A description of the current situation in U.S. agricultural trade provides a point of departure.
