Abstract
Excerpts from the Preface: This study was designed to analyze the procurement and assembly of Midwestern eggs and to find more efficient ways to perform these functions. Procurement policies and assembly routes of 7 Midwestern firms were investigated during 1959 and 1960. Information was obtained on methods, costs, and performance. On the basis of these findings, recommendations are made for improvements in procurement and assembly of eggs suitable for several types of farming areas in the Midwest.
