Abstract

Excerpts from the report Summary: Liberia is rich in rubber, iron ore, and timber. Rubber is by far Liberia's most important agricultural export. In 1963, rubber exports valued at $23,916,000 made up 32 percent of the total exports, which were valued at $75,862,000. Other agricultural exports, chiefly coffee, palm kernels, cocoa, and piassava (palm fiber), brought the percentage of agricultural exports up to 35 percent.
