Excerpts from the Introduction: Expansion of programs for the development of rural areas has focused attention upon low-income rural people. Special concern has been directed toward the socioeconomic development of ethnic minority groups in rural areas. This bibliography was compiled by the Economic Development Division as a guide to information on minority groups published by the Economic Research Service and its predecessor agencies. Research reports cooperatively sponsored with other organizations are also included. In general, only reports published during the period 1955-65 are listed. However, some reports published prior to 1955 that are of special interest or that are part of a series have been included.
