Abstract

Relationship of some reproductive factors on brucellosis in goats (n=300) was tested by Rose Bengal Test (RBT), Plate Agglutination Test (PAT), Tube Agglutination Test (TAT) and Mercaptoethanol Test (MET). Out of the 300 goats, 1.7% (n=5) were positive to RBT and PAT, 2% (n=6) were positive to TAT " and 2.3% (n=7) were positive to MET. The brucellosis was common in aborted goats (20%; n=3) than non aborted (1.4%; n=4). It is common with retention of placenta (13.3%; n=2) than the non retention (1.8%; n=5) followed by abnormal uterine discharge (10%; n=1) and no discharge (2.1%; n=6).
