Abstract
This paper investigates the relationship between the consumption of selected food nutrients and various socioeconomic factors in Greece. Linear multiple regression analysis was used to estimate the relationship between the consumption of each nutrient and the socioeconomic factors hypothesized to influence it. Data from the 1993/94 family budget survey were used in the analysis. Results show that nutrient consumption increases
when moving to higher income levels, with a decreasing rate. Most socioeconomic factors other than income, also influence nutrient consumption significantly.
