Intensive horticultural crop production is limited in Martinique due lo rain distribution and inconvenicnces tied to low soil fertility. In order to overcome diese limitations, since 1984, growers have relied on two types of greenhouse production systems, first the Hors-Sol and then the Pleine-Tene.
