Abstract

This paper tests the hypothesis that switchgrass yield response to nitrogen fertilizer is dynamic. Yield and weather data from a five-year experiment in western Tennessee are used. Implications of such a finding on the profitability and sustainability of switchgrass production at the farm level are discussed.
