Abstract

Overexploitation of pastures, the incursion of invasive plants, pollution and climate change are causes of ecosystem loss, as well as the illegal trafficking of animals and plants between countries represent a significant loss, which forces agribusinesses to make sustainable use of their resources. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, an international organization, promotes the conservation and sustainable use of wildlife; no species protected by it has become extinct because of its regulation. In Mexico, the National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity is a scientific authority that assists in supervision and preservation tasks. The Units for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Wildlife (UMA's) are a good alternative for agribusiness through hunting ranch modality. In Sonora there are four protected natural areas in which these farms are located.
