Abstract
Excerpts: All of the States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands now have school lunch programs to which surplus commodities are made available. Numerous questions relative to the use of commodities have been presented by sponsors and others who are making an effort to obtain greater expansion of these programs. This bulletin has been prepared by the Federal Surplus Commodities Corporation, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, in order to make more generally available the answers to some of these questions. It is hoped that the material will interest those with experience in the program as well as those who are initiating a new program.
