Abstract
The article discusses the use of new communication methods in adult education and agricultural advisory services, using the example of the Małopolska Agricultural Advisory Centre (MAC) in Karniowice as an example. The thematic scope includes advisory forms and methods, public advisory functions and adult education systems. The aim of the work was to identify the possibilities of using ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in the advisory, educational and informational activities of the public agricultural advisory unit, as well as to determine the criteria for assessing education systems using ICT. The analysis of the MAC's activities shows that direct contact is the preferred form in the case of individual advisory services and solving a single client problem. Based on the conducted research, the growing importance of adult distance education systems (remote or hybrid system) can be observed. The offer of training and information activities has been expanded, but there are still additional possibilities. When choosing an adult education system, many variables determining their effectiveness and efficiency should be taken into account (including available resources, competences of the sender and recipient, action plans and goals, advantages and disadvantages of a given education system, cost).
