Abstract

The last few years have seen dramatic change in the policy environment for US agriculture, such as: 1. the completion of a multilateral trade agreement, 2. implementation of the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement, 3. various bilateral arrangements, and 4. the 1996 Farm Bill. A number of organizations, agencies, and observers are tracking closely the effects of changes in policies, trade relationships, and program adjustments.
