Abstract
The study on the impacts of ONG actions on the sustainable management of protected areas in the Luki Biosphere Reserve (RBL), shows that this reserve is full of a particular biological diversity that is subject to significant pressure due to anthropogenic activities. Several ONG are establishing themselves there. Surveys of the activities of these ONG were carried out with a view to reducing the impact on the reserve and on the development of the local population. Three enclaves (Kiobo, Tsumba-Kituti and Kisavu) were selected for this purpose. And the surveys were conducted among ONG managers and the population. The results of the investigations showed that, despite the presence of ONG, the threats facing the RBL are: charring, sawing, poaching, mobile agriculture on brulis, land encroachment, bush fire and resource trafficking. These attitudes contribute to the gradual disappearance of RBL resources. The impacts of the ONG actions assessed in this study are less effective or even zero, both on the development of the population and on the governance of the reserve.
