Abstract
Excerpts from the Preface: Large scale and corporation farming have been popular subjects for discussion during the last few years. In many cases the terms large scale and corporation farming are used interchangeably. The terms factory farms, industrialized farms, and chain farms are also used rather loosely. This bibliography includes references on large scale farms, or farms of unusual size for the particular type of farming in question. Some of these farms are owned by individuals, some by partners, and others by corporations. References on group farming, and chain farming, are also included. These farms are usually a number of farms operated either by tenants or by hired labor under the supervision of a centralized management or an agricultural service. The term, chain farming, is usually applied to group farming where all the farms in the group are owned by the same individual, partnership, or corporation. The bibliography is arranged by country. The references under the United States are subdivided into the following groups: History; General; North Central States; Southern States; Individual States; Editorials and Unsigned Articles. The references under the other countries are not subdivided.
