Abstract
The primary sector and particularly vegetables in Mexico have been characterized as one of the outstanding ones in export agriculture, which includes products such as tomato, zucchini, bell pepper and the product of interest for the study, which is cucumber, specifically the Persian cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), which have been generating an economic spill in income and jobs for the country's producers. Cucumber production is obtained from the states of Sinaloa where 33.5% of the national production is offered, Sonora and Michoacán occupy the second and third place with shares of 23.7 and 9.6%, together they contribute 66.8%, which reveals a concentration in three states. The work was carried out in Guerrero and the State of Mexico in Persian cucumber under greenhouse conditions under the methodological approach of the Policy Analysis Matrix (MAP), the results obtained showed that in both states profits of $27,338.8 and $30,915.4 pesos were generated in a surface area of 4,000 and 1,000 square meters respectively when the cost of renting the land was included.
