Abstract
Excerpts from the report: This report deals with young girls' uses of and attitudes toward cotton and competing fibers in various wardrobe items. It is one of a series of studies on farm products conducted by the Market Development Branch, Marketing Research Division. In order to help producers, manufacturers, and distributors understand the teenage market better and find improved ways of meeting its needs, the Department of Agriculture undertook this study among girls 14 through 17 years of age. The findings reported here are based on a national probability sample of 1,751 girls.
