Excerpt from the report Summary: The studies reported here were conducted over a 3-year period on 15 farms in the St. Louis milkshed. They show that with good sanitation practices, milk of high sanitary quality can be produced with half the labor and half the investment in buildings and equipment commonly found on dairy farms in the area.
