Abstract
Excerpts from the report: In the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, near Franklin, there is a great outdoor laboratory where little waters are writing big stories for the future good of all Americans. At this Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory, one of several experimental forests and ranges where the U. S. Forest Service is carrying on intensive watershed studies, forest scientists are finding practical answers to water problems that have long puzzled engineers and foresters alike. This publication is designed to highlight the results of 20 years of streamflow studies at Coweeta, borrowing text and pictorial illustrations from the documentary film, "Waters of Coweeta.”
