Abstract

This bulletin describes briefly the manner in which the Federal meat-inspection service operates. It discusses the extent of Federal supervision over the meat supply and how producers, consumers, and the public generally may derive the greatest benefits. It points out, likewise, opportunities for supplementing Federal inspection with State or municipal inspection.
