Abstract

Interorganizational cooperation is a process where partners value interdependance and resource association in the aim of individually realized benefit achievement. The dominant reason for strategic alliance formation is a fact that two or more enterprise or business units partnerships acomplish strategically more important aims of mutual interst. The alliances are often formed all over the world in order to substantially share the risks, expenses and functions of research and development. Strategic alliances went wider in all the business areas during the last decade. They represent one of the most popular strategies for businesses in several countries, enabling them to share the risks and resources, acquire knowledge, as well as access the new markets.
