Rural-oriented Cities, prime candidates for rural development, must anticipate problems associated with population growth. Increasing crime rate is a factor of this growth that greatly affects city residents. It is the purpose of this study to contemplate the causes of crime, analyze effectiveness in combating crime, and consider the relation between police expenditures and crime control.
