Abstract

Cotton, peanuts, and flue-cured tobacco have been produced under programs designed to control production. Thus, farmers have not been free to plant unlimited acreages of these crops. Program changes have been made to adjust production to changing market conditions which affect gross revenue to producers and, consequently, income in producing. areas. Technology, weather, and alternatives in conjunction with agricultural programs also affect gross revenue and net income.
