Some American cotton producers realize two forms of Federal subsidies; the USDA Cotton Program payments and subsidies brought about by the methods utilized for the repayment to the Bureau of Reclamation for irrigation water resource projects. The two subsidy forms were analyzed and compared with respect to inter- and intra-regional incidence. Crop years 1971 and 1974 were selected for intensive investigation.
