Abstract

Financial positions of four Indiana crop farms were analyzed with an annualized L-P model. Commodity programs that distribute payments based on the volume of production did not differentially influence income, net worth, and risk exposure across farm size. Furthermore, program options had less impact on farm growth than firm-level investment decisions.
