Evidence is mounting that agricultural pesticide and fertilizer applications are causing groundwater contamination in some parts of the U.S. This paper synthesizes national data to identify regions potentially affected by contamination from these sources, summarizes the types of damages that can result, and assesses the potential costs of avoiding damages. 11
