At present, there is still no unified standard for evaluation of agricultural insurance security level, especially in the quantitative evaluation. In order to explore a scientific and reasonable evaluation method for agricultural insurance security level, this paper analyzed the current situation of evaluation methods of social insurance, endowment insurance and medical insurance, as well as the application of security index. It is expected to provide a certain reference for evaluation of agricultural insurance security level by the agricultural insurance security index.
