Abstract

Pangola is the main species which has been used in the small proportion (approximately IO%) of pasture land which has been improved in Tobago. Recent attempts to introduce other grass species and to encourage the use of grass-legume mixtures have been encouraging. The species used and the methods employed are described. The potential for further pasture improvement is discussed.
