Abstract

The aim of this paper was to identify and analyze farmer’s strategies connected with diversification of their activities, associated with taking non-agricultural activities. There are four strategies implemented by farmers possessing small farms, which are associated with running non-agricultural activities. Studies have shown that the choice of a strategy for diversification is determined by various factors, and the chosen strategy of developing non-agricultural activities differentiates the workforce, the geographical extent of that activity and its economic importance as a source of family income. It also affects the farmer’s plans of farm production in the future.
