Abstract
The possibility of the development of the Polish market of biomass for the production of pellets, straw, based on the available resources of this materia was indicatedl. The specific factors affecting the price of the product was described. In the course of the analysis tabular, graphical and descriptive methods were used. The level of costs for the production of pellets depends on the market situation of biomass and biomass purchase prices. Major components of the cost of production of pellets from straw is the purchaseof raw materials, electricity, transportation and other costs.
