Abstract
In the territory of Former SFRYU priority in development have different variety of
mass tourism (tourism on Adriatic seaside and tourism on mountain or ski-tourism)
all other were developed like blind force without clear market policy. In other
words, practically were implemented policy of non-different marketing. This could
mean that other potential tourist destination that have condition for tourist development
that possibility didn’t practiced. It were not met needs of costumers and potential
tourist supply. This resulted that large number of respectable natural and social
resources have been unrightfully ignores, which resulted on the other side
aware or unaware negate of advantage which could have if tourist destination invest
in tourism. Brčko small town in Bosnia and Hercegovina has shared the destiny
of the other tourist potential destinations in our country.
The aim of the work is to point out the potential strategic directions for the future
development of the tourism in Brčko distrikt in aspect of multifunctionality with
put the point on rural areas. In this way it would be evident how to make use of
great potential for further development of the tourism in a practical sense.
