Abstract
This paper provides an overview of current foreign investment in agriculture and related businesses
in Cuba. Background information is included on the agribusiness investment climate, investment
policy affecting agriculture and the legal framework for foreign investment. Information, to the
extent available, is provided on specific investments in citrus, tobacco, sugar, non-export crops, and
processed foods. Proposed projects and considerations for future agribusiness investments following
removal of U.S. sanctions on trade and financial relations are discussed.
