Abstract
The Pesticide Data Program (PDP) is a cooperative effort of the U.S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA) and several state agencies. The
ultimate purpose of the PDP is to make scientific statements about the
distribution of certain pesticide residues in particular commodities
consumed by the US public over a calendar year. The estimation strategy
that has been used in the PDP for the last several years will be described
and then the current (as of 2006) estimation routine will be compared to a
new approach to be introduced in 2007.
