Abstract
The purpose of this paper is an attempt to show the impact of the economic size of farms in the range
of support measures of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy. Detailed analyzes were direct
payments and payments for areas with unfavorable farming conditions (LFA). Their size was considered in
relation to farm income. The analysis covered the year 2013. In relation to the total amount of the analyzed
farms CAP support the EU in 2013 was 52.1% of farm income. The basic elements of support from the EU
CAP payments were made in the context of direct payments and payments for areas with less favored. They
accounted for respectively 79.5% and 8.5% of the total support. From year to year is observed to increase
the impact of these measures on income.
