Abstract
The aim of the study is evaluation of tendency to conclude an insurance of farms according to production
type. The research was conducted on the basis of a questionnaire among people in charge or managing the
farm in Middle Pomerania region. The article focuses on the period 2004-2012. Agricultural type differentiated
to have insurance coverage in farms. Insurance contracts were concluded more often in farms specializing in
crop production than livestock. From among farms to use of insurance the main percentage of mixed farms.
