Abstract
Lease of farm lands is a common occurence which has been accepted since years. It was the beginning
of transformation process of national proprieties, that started purchases and leasings of huge areas of lands
by individual farmers. According to the statistics, initial interest in lands owned by WRSP was comparatively
small, which was expressed by low rent and low prices of land. Getting used to this institution by farmers
and integration with EU processes resulted in sudden growth of interest in purchase and lease of national
lands. It’s worth mentioning that tenants will rather try to change lease rights into ownership rights in a
perspective of few years. Deffinitely processes of lands’ concentration which have been noticed in last few
decades, contributed to growth of competitiveness of farms that take part in it.
