Abstract
Food security in the field of plant protein is the main aim of economic policy in each country, hence the need
for diversified and reliable sources of its acquisition. The primary source of this material should be the production
of native legumes. The purpose of this article is to identify the main constraints in the development of production
and trade of native legumes, and propose the opportunities and directions for its further development. It was
found that under conditions of strong competition from soybean market, obtaining security of the country in the
field of plant protein requires an increase in the production of native legumes by animating the raw material
trading, and marketing of meat products produced on the basis of feed protein with native plants
