Excerpts: These maps tell a relatively simple story. They are designed to aid in answering such questions as these – Where are the farms located? What kind of farming are they doing? How well are they faring? If not too well, what are some of the most probable causes of the trouble? Specifically, this supplement contains a series of seven maps for each of the six large areas indicated on the frontispiece. These may be briefly described as follows: 1. Present Location of Farms by Type and Type-of-Farming Subareas --- 2. Farms Having Gross-Income Expectancies of $1,000 or Less --- 3. Major Weaknesses in Factors Affecting Income on Farms with Gross Income Expectancies of $1,000 or less --- 4. Classification of Farm and Grazing Land --- 5. Status of Tax Delinquency, July 1, 1936 --- 6. Kind of Land Ownership, March 1, 1937 --- 7. Roads and Schools, 1939.
