Japanese food consumption is changing under the influence of occidental styles : less rice and more meat, oils, vegatables and drinks. It leads to increase imports. Japan used to import feed grains for livestock and is nowprefering direct meat importation. Great Japanese firms are investing in South-Est Asia in order to produce meat -mainly chiken- for their captive national market.
