Cattle breeders of Midi-Pyrénées, mostly located in disavantaged areas, have generally very low incomes. For this kind of producers, the cap reform will have had, at the end of the transitory period (1995) a positive financial impact, due to the entensive systems of production, the nature of the products (low value-added) and the favourable market prices situation since 1992.
