The possible impact of expected events, and the proposed technical means of counteracting them, are usually measured by models representing farms. A more global model represents French farming in the diversity of its regions and in the framework of the EEC and world markets. The working out of such a model brings to light the lack of statistical information concerning the techniques used by the producers and the lack of knowledge concerning the funding of farming.
