Abstract
Many breeders really need the role of the livestock service in terms of empowering livestock groups. However, the role of the animal husbandry service, in this case livestock extension workers, is felt to be ineffective. This research was conducted from June to July 2022 in Manuju District, Gowa Regency. The number of samples taken in this study were 74 respondents. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews using questionnaires, and documentation. This research method uses a descriptive approach, namely research conducted on variables, ie without making comparisons, or connecting with other variables. The results of this study indicate the role of livestock extension workers in empowering beef cattle breeders including motivating breeders, fostering beef cattlegroups, providing assistance with beef cattle breeds, superior feed, and assistance with feed processing machines, as well as providing artificial insemination services.
