Abstract
As U.S. agriculture has changed in the 1980's, conservation has remained an important concern for farmers and land users. Recently, much emphasis has been placed on the adverse effects of some agricultural practices to the environment. This paper presents a study that will evaluate the effects of adopting resource conservation and management practices on the farmers' well-being. The study presents a recently developed linear programming technique, recursive strategic linear programming (RSLP), for an ex post analysis of case farms that have incorporated refined or alternative conservation and management practices into their whole- farm operations.
