In our generation we have seen  several food processing innovations become giants of  industry.  Others appearing to have had equal potential  have never progressed beyond the infancy stage.  Part of  the future success of a new-fledged industry is determined  by the way that industry got started.  Goethe stated it,  "Three things are to be looked to in a building: that it  stand on the right spot; that it be securely founded; that  it be successfully executed."  Let's look at some of our  attitudes and ways of thinking that may help to locate it,  securely found it, and successfully execute the  freeze-drying industry of tomorrow.},
