abstract = {As farms become fewer and larger, hired farmworkers (2.7 million in 1979) are gradually replacing family members in the agricultural work force. Workers dependent on farmwork for their livelihood should be the focus of Government policy, rather than laborers doing farmwork on a casual or seasonal basis. Better information and more comprehensive data are needed to design laws to help solve the economic and social problems of farmworkers and their families},
