We use a dynamic, CGE model to investigate the economy-wide implications of successful implementation of this policy. We find in the long-run, 2020, that the U.S. would experience significant benefits arising from: (1) substitution of biomass whose price is likely to fall in the long-run for crude petroleum whose price is likely to rise; (2) reduction in the world price of crude petroleum; (3) an increase in employment; and (4) an increase in export prices. 000331569 546__ $$aEnglish 000331569 650__ $$aResource/Energy Economics and Policy 000331569 650__ $$aAgricultural and Food Policy 000331569 6531_ $$aDomestic policy analysis 000331569 6531_ $$aDynamic modeling 000331569 700__ $$aDixon, Peter B. 000331569 700__ $$aOsborne, Stefan 000331569 700__ $$aRimmer, Maureen T. 000331569 773__ $$j2006 000331569 8564_ $$945565a95-f22c-426b-af93-b125ff314167$$s282476$$uhttps://ageconsearch.umn.edu/record/331569/files/3271.pdf 000331569 909CO $$ooai:ageconsearch.umn.edu:331569$$pGLOBAL_SET 000331569 913__ $$aBy depositing this Content ('Content') in AgEcon Search, I agree that I am solely responsible for any consequences of uploading this Content to AgEcon Search and making it publicly available, and I represent and warrant that: I am either the sole creator and the owner of the copyrights and all other rights in the Content; or, without obtaining another’s permission, I have the right to deposit the Content in an archive such as AgEcon Search.
