Economics of Agriculture: Reports and Publications Issued or Sponsored by USDA's Economic Research Service, 1961-65

Excerpts from the Preface: This list of research publications produced or sponsored by the Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, is designed as a source of reference for the published materials of the Service during the first 5 years of its activities. It includes citations for four of the five domestic ERS research divisions. The Marketing Economics Division publications are not included, since that division recently revised its bibliography, ERS-205. Publications of the Foreign Development and Trade and Foreign Regional Analysis Divisions for the same period are reported in ERS-Foreign 167, August 1966. The list is intended to include citations for all published material of more than temporary interest regardless of the form in which published or the current availability. Important among these are publications in Department and Economic Research Service series, periodic reports, and articles in periodicals of the Department and State Experiment Station bulletins, which report results of State-Federal cooperative studies in agricultural economics. Articles in technical and professional journals, both within and outside the Department, are cited as well as proceedings of symposia and conferences which report important ERS research results. Also included are reports of research performed under contract or cooperative agreements.
