It includes the four western counties of Maryland, the Blue Ridge, the Valley, and the Allegheny counties of Virginia, practically all of West Virginia, eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina, the four northwestern counties of South Carolina, northern Georgia, and northeastern Alabama.
