Abstract
Excerpts from the report: Since 1920, farm tractors, along with other sources of mechanical power, have almost completely replaced animal power on United States farms. Modern farm tractors are more powerful, lighter in weight, more versatile, and easier to handle than their predecessors of 20 years ago. Also, more types are available from which to choose. This report summarizes and interprets the latest available data on trends in the type, size, age, and use of farm tractors in the United States.
