Impact studies are very much in vogue today, and this is certainly true with respect to industrial development. Numerous studies have been made in attempts to estimate the multipliers associated with various types of industries. Results indicate that multipliers do differ among industries and among geographical areas. However, such studies do not reveal the distribution effects of such industrial development within a particular area.
