This study reports the effects of dietary protein in growing-finishing swine diets on production and carcass characteristics and producer profits. Carcasses are evaluated using the Lean Guide to Pork Value advocated by the National Pork Producers Council. The effect of protein level on carcass value and optimal marketing weight is discussed.
